“A nicely executed and relaxed event”

-This training event was very good in terms of its content, implementation and schedule.

This is the feedback from one of the participants in Rinki’s Finnish training event in November.  

The training addressed current issues concerning packaging producer responsibility, especially the new Waste Act. Juha-Heikki Tanskanen, Rinki’s CEO, gave an overview of the latest news. Rinki’s specialist Harri Sihvonen gave a step-by-step overview of the reporting of 2021 packaging data, and Rinki’s Customer Service Manager Maija Peltola offered a detailed description of both the SUP directive and the eco-modulation of EPR fees. At the end of the events, Rinki’s experts answered participants’ questions submitted beforehand and during the event.  

The number of training events will double in 2022 

The survey carried out after the event showed that 82% of the respondents would want Rinki to organise training events more than once a year. 

-We want to keep our customer companies informed about changes to producer responsibility and to help them prepare for the future. Since participants find our training events useful, we’ll organise two training events next year,  promises Rinki’s Communications Manager Heli Satuli.  

The training events were streamed on YouTube and had, at best, more than 550 viewers. Recordings of the events can be viewed on Rinki’s YouTube channel, where they have been watched more than 1,000 times to date. 

Almost all (97%) of the respondents were happy with the online event and this was also reflected in the open feedback.
